depends what your looking for. you can do worse than odder bar or kro2, both not far south on oxford road from the palace. pacific in china town (thai or chinese) is a bit more pricey, but worth it.

Excellent Thai restaurant called Royal Orchid. You can order per person or else do a banquet. The food is the sort of food that has you shovelling it in and going 'mmmm...cor this is gorgeous..'

Stay away from the bananas in hot coconut milk though. Wrong, all wrong.
