Sunday 8th April is the London Fetish Fair, at Shillibeers, Carpenter's Mews (next to the Pleasance Theatre), North Rd, Islington, London N7 9ER.
This Easter Sunday come and join our Mad Hatter's Tea Party with live actors featuring The Mad Hatter, The Red Queen & the Dormouse! You can be Alice!

This month's workshop at 15:30 - Caning: Love them or loathe them, canes are a popular toy for many into BDSM. They can be used as a punishment, part of an impact play scene or even in a sensual manner. This demo will start with a fun scene to watch using canes in a variety of ways. Then there will be a discussion of cane types, techniques, and uses. This will be followed by the chance for you to try out canes or ask any questions with Vicky of Freak Clubwear.
As usual the After Party will be hosted by Mistress Rebekka and Master Joel, our resident Domina and Dominant. The Play Area is equipped with a UV spiderweb bondage wheel, cage, spanking bench & suspension play area. Brought to you by Dungeon E4 plus a dedicated matted area for bondage work.

A cheap wig from a joke shop would solve the hair colour problem, and then there is propbly tights that would be the right colours

I am so very disappointed and I don't think I will bother with the LFF again !
It was at the April LFF 3 years that my partner and I met the first time and we wanted to celebrate there and had arranged the entire day around that. Had lunch early so we could be out of the door 1pm allowing 2 whole hours to make our way from Sussex to the venue.
In the end we ran into traffic and it took us a bit more than 2 hours to make it. We arrived at 3:05pm just to be told we'd have to pay an entry fee of £8 a head. I tried to explain but I was treated very dismissively and in the end I decided not to attend and instead spend the shopping money elsewhere.
In the dozens of times I attended the LFF I only attended the after-party a single time, long enough to decide this it's not for me. Yet my desire to not wish to attend the after party counts for nothing if I happen to arrive a minute after an arbitrarily set cut off time.
This is entirely unsatisfactory and unless I happen to be already in London earlier that day, I will never try to make the effort again to attend the LFF.

The problem is that a cut off time is just that and if there's an allowance of 2 minutes here, 5 minutes there, the question becomes where do you draw the line? It's a fixed time to stop arguments of one person being given a 5 minute leeway and no flexibility for others. It's not really a huge difference in price either, considering you're still getting all the same aspects whichever price you pay. Public transport is mostly always crappy and appalling on bank holiday weekends, so it's something else that's worth bearing in mind. It's a shame you won't be attending in the future but this is a democracy and I hope other events can meet with your expectations.

The only point on which I would disagree with @Leadfoot is "democracy". LFF and many other events are not democratic. They are run by the organisers who can choose how much they wish to charge and also who they wish to admit. If they get it right then the event flourishes, get it wrong and it fails.
Obviously it's part of the democratic country and system in which we live that anyone is free to start such an event without having to seek permission from "the authorities".

I got held up a couple of months back by some slow moving protest march and arrived after 3. OK we both paid an extra £3 each - it happens!!

Slight misunderstanding. The 'democracy' was in reference to the outside world at large, which can mean anything from "other events are available" through to "sod off and annoy somebody else".

Had a great time at the market. Thank you to all the willing volunteers for the caning demo - especially as my original demo subbie's car had broken down so I had to rope in a new volunteer on the day!
