Hi All you london people

Where is the cheapest place to stop near to where the o+p is happening.

As at the moment i'm looking at 200 pounds for 2 nights stay.

Travel lodge may be the best option but I would recommend you look for one just outside of London as central London tends to be extortionate.

ETA: I'm in the suburbs about 15-20 mins from central London and one near me is about £20 per night.

my only suggestion would possibly be something like Etap (cheap and looks it but always clean lol) there is one in the docklands area that used to be just under £50 per night...

and you get a short walk to the DLR

I think it depends on if you ae intending to go on to something afterwards, if you are it may be better to look closer to that as it may work out cheaper.

Yeah, London is a bit far away for us to do in a day-trip (and even that's expensive with rail prices these days) so it's a bit much for us to come down for just the meeting. However I'm sure we'll manage to make the next Manchester O&P event, and we're even planning to make it out to a club night in December

Looks like we have decided to attend, though may not make subversion. Depending on fireworks availability, I'm guessing it will be subject to threatened fire brigade strikes, then I would also be interested in an after meet dinner. Especially if we can find enough people willing to stretch to Pescatori (just down the road on Charlotte Street).

ETA oh and we are definitely bringing home made cup cakes and they will be themed. I will also be open to offers to punish my submissive in public if she lets me forget to make/bring them.

Are there any others attending without their partners? Will i be the only "single" person in a room full of couples

Yes. From what I remember, there were about four of us there last time who were single.

I plan to be there on Saturday, but do not feel at all intimidated by the fact that I'm single and going alone. In fact, I am far more worried that my current Winter jacket doesn't go with the trousers I'll be wearing.

Can I add O&P LDRs to the discussion list? I had a browse through the thread about it and views on the topic were quite varied. However nobody really said anything about HOW to integrate O&P into a LDR. Communication and stuff is obviously important, but that's all more about the vanilla side of it. I'm going to Rome next year for 6 months, so I have a BIG interest in that topic and how to make it work

The LDR kinda links in with the not being in a 24/7 thing and is something which i definately think warrents discussion, from a purely selfish prospective of course ... so yup that will most definately be on the agenda

I think one of the problems with going into detail about what was discussed is that the more interesting details tend to be more private, and often of the type that people may well not want appearing online. There's no easy way for others to tell, so it's down to individuals to post things they talked about. I suppose one way to deal with this might be to start a thread in the group afterwards with the same intro as each topic that was on the agenda (at yesterday's, patience had written an intro for each one.) That then gives people a chance to make "what I said at the Open was" replies if they feel like it.
